"Eating well and feeling good is easier than you think."
Seamus Mullen, Chef and Restaurant Owner in New York City, Author of Hero Food
My name is Seamus Mullen and I'm a chef and restaurant owner in New York City, one of the busiest cities in the world. Just like millions of other people, I have Rheumatoid Arthritis. Sometimes it stinks, sometimes it's not so bad, but one thing's for sure, it's something that I have to deal with every day. At 38 years old, I'm not ready to let go of my dreams so I fight this battle with every step I take, but I won't let it win. Over the years I've found some great ways to help me live with RA and I wanted to create a space where I could share those ideas with you.
Food is my life so naturally I investigated and found foods that help me feel better and that I know are doing great things for my body.
We'll share some of those recipes and foods here, which is sound information for any human being, not just those with RA.
We will also have tips and lists and all kinds of info that will help us all learn and cope with RA. We will also take a real look into the lives of people who have various kinds of hardships and have overcome adversity to find inspiration. These people will remind us every day that no matter how hard we have it, how much pain we feel, we can go on. I invite you to get in on the conversation and share your experiences, tips, highs and lows and together we will help create a place where others will find hope, inspiration and reality that will allow us to get back to living. Lastly, my first book comes out this April with recipes and more information about something I call Hero Food, foods that are wonderful for our bodies.
